January Releases

It’s only January, but it’s already been a calendar year of big release moments at Drata. We’ve unveiled a serious number of new capabilities this month, underscoring our commitment to continuous innovation and customer satisfaction.

January Releases

Our product team has been working at #DrataSpeed to deliver these updates, and as always, we use customer feedback to design our product roadmap, so you might even see something you’ve requested.

Check out all the new additions available to help you along your security and compliance journey:

Third-Party Risk Management

Our Third-Party Risk Management solution offers a comprehensive suite that enables businesses—particularly in the hardware, software, and technology sectors—to effectively identify, evaluate, and monitor their third-party vendors.

The solution empowers customers to assess the impact of third-party vendors on their security posture, identify potential third-party risks, and take proactive steps in treating and managing these risks.

Capabilities include:

  • Vendor Profiles: Easily enter and edit your vendor details like Risks and Next Review Deadline, send security questionnaires, and conduct security reviews.

  • Vendor Risks: Document and follow-up with risk treatment, track risks as part of your organization’s risk register, and add vendors risks in Risk Management.

  • SSO Vendor Directory Automation: Automate the initial steps of populating the Vendor Directory, quickly add multiple vendors at once, and keep your Vendor Directory up to date.

  • Vendor Bulk Upload: Import your entire list of vendors to populate your Vendor Directory.

  • Vendor Impact Assessment: Standardize the way you assess Vendor Impact and analyze potential security threats.

  • Vendor Insights Dashboard: Easily interpret your vendor risk management program, determine your highest priority activities, and gain the full picture of your Vendor Status, Lifecycle, Risks, Types, and Impact Level.

Jira for Evidence Library

Our Jira integration streamlines evidence collection, allowing customers to automatically transfer closed Jira Tickets, along with any attachments, straight into the Evidence Library as evidence. This addition simplifies the workflow, turning a once tedious task into a hassle-free process.

Google Drive Support for Evidence Library

We're thrilled to announce that Google Drive has joined the ranks of OneDrive, SharePoint, and Dropbox in our Evidence Library support. Now, pulling evidence directly from Google Drive is a breeze, significantly reducing manual effort and time spent on evidence collection.

RBAC Restricted View

In our continuous effort to refine Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), we've introduced the Restricted View. This feature enables control and risk owners to view only the controls and risks under their ownership, offering unparalleled precision in access control.

Risk Scoring Legends

For those utilizing our Risk Management features, you can now add clear definitions to each likelihood and impact level. This update aids your team in assessing risks more effectively and accurately.

Control Reset

Customers can review and revert changes in our Drata Control Framework (DCF) to align with the latest updates to the most recent standard and regulation shift, ensuring your compliance efforts are always current and inclusive.

Bulk Delete Control Approvals

Efficiency is key in compliance management. Our new bulk delete option for control approvals simplifies process management, allowing you to focus on what truly matters.

Improved Version Control Check Matching

We've upgraded our Version Control Check matching process, integrating HRIS system data to streamline this essential process significantly.

Trust Center for Workspaces

Workspaces users can now build and publish an individual Trust Center for each Workspace. This feature highlights the security and compliance posture of each Workspace independently, helping to foster trust and transparency.

Control Approval Enhancement

Linking policies to a control from the Policy Center now automatically resets "approved" controls back to the “prepare for approvers” stage. This ensures thorough review and oversight over new evidence before final approval.

Broader HRIS Integration

We’ve expanded our HRIS integration capabilities to support Employment Hero, making it easier to manage personnel within Drata.

And that’s just in thirty days! There’s never a dull moment here at Drata, and we’re working hard to make sure the product never stands still. Our customers and users demand it.
